Pipe Review

A few weeks ago, Reefer Post came out with a review titled “Bubbler Review.” In that post, a bubbler and a pipe are compared and contrasted. But why do a review on bubblers but not pipes? Well, for those of you who asked that, here is the review on pipes.

What Is A Pipe?

First let’s start by stating what defines a pipe, and what kind of pipe we are talking about. Now, we aren’t talking about a pipe used in plumbing or anything like that; we are talking about a glass smoking pipe, specifically for smoking marijuana. Using a glass pipe is a simple way of smoking marijuana: all you have to do is load up a bowl and then it’s ready to go. No water needed, no rolling up needed, just pack a bowl then hit it. Here’s a picture of a pipe owned by Reefer Post:

You can check out this picture, as well as many others, on Reefer Post’s Instagram page. This glass pipe has a nice design and a variety of colors. It includes small glass swirls that start on the sides of the bowl and go down the stem of the pipe, looping around it.

Using A Pipe

As I said above, it is very easy to use a pipe. All you have to do is pack a bowl (like in the picture above), then spark the bowl and hit it. That’s about it! Unlike a bubbler or a bong, you do not need to add any water. Also, some pipes come in very small sizes, so they are great for on-the-go smoking.

There isn’t much more to say about using a pipe, it’s just so simple to use! You can get big pipes, you can get small pipes. You can get pipes with designs on them, handmade pipes, different colored pipes, and almost anything you can think of. Visit your local weed shop, or surf the internet, and you will find some interesting pipes out there!

Upsides Of Using A Pipe

Pipes are great for a few reasons. First off, if you are new to smoking, pipes are easy to use and get the job done quickly. Secondly, if you travel a lot and need a quick smoke, then just carry around a pipe and some weed. And finally, pipes are great when it comes to taking snappers.

Not sure what a snapper is? Well, a snapper is a bowl that is smaller than a typical bowl but meant for one person and also meant for one hit. So, if you are taking a snapper, that means you are going to hit that small bowl until it is out. Snappers are a good way to smoke fast and get high very quickly. Pipes are great for them because snappers can be easily packed into them and easily smoked out of them. You and your smoking buddies can all easily hit snappers out of any pipe.

Downsides Of Using A Pipe

Using a pipe may be easy and all, but there are a few downsides that may come with it. These downsides are not horrible but may make you reconsider using a pipe. You may want to switch to a bubbler or other way of smoking. Or you might not even care and continue to use a pipe. The choice is all yours.

First, pipes require no water, right? Well, believe it or not, water cleans out the smoke and makes it a bit safer for your lungs. With a pipe, you are inhaling raw smoke that has had no type of filtration. This will not kill you, but smoke that has been filtered through water is proven to be safer. So if this is a concern for you, then try a bong or a bubbler.

Another downside of using a pipe is that you usually cannot take big hits out of them. Now, you can take hits that are bigger than usual out of a pipe, but compared to a bong, pipe hits are small. If you have been smoking for years and small hits do not get you high, then you may want to try out a bong, and a big one at that.

That’s about it for the ups and downs of using a pipe. Overall, Reefer Post gives Pipes a good review. They are easy to use and very portable. However, a bubbler is still preferred over a pipe for us. But everyone has their own opinion. Leave your opinion below in a comment. Happy smoking!
