French fries can be purchased and eaten almost anywhere in the world. Here’s a fun, off-the-topic fact: french fries are actually from Belgium (the country next to France). So, we are really giving credit to the wrong people! Some stoners might even be thinking: “does this relate at all to French Inhaling?” No, it does not, instead it points more to our delicious cannabis sweet potato fries!
If you do not like french fries, than you most likely will not like this recipe. It even uses sweet potatoes instead of the typical Idaho potatoes, which are actually a healthier alternative. Those who love sweet potatoes and cannabis are sure to fall in love with this recipe. It even offers some additional toppings for added flavor. These fries are usually eaten as a snack or side dish, but if you make enough you can enjoy them as your main dish. You could even use them as a side dish and one of our other edible recipes as a main. Sit back, eat some crispy edibles, and wait for that high to kick in!
You will need some canna oil for this recipe, click here to learn that.
Ingredients
This recipe will have four servings and take no longer than two hours to complete.
- 2 pounds of sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons of canna olive oil
- 1/4 tablespoon of sea salt
- 2 tablespoons of flat leaf parsley (chopped)
- 1 garlic clove (finely minced)
- 4 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese (grated)
You will also need one sheet pan or cookie sheet to get the cooking done!
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven and prepare potatoes
Start off by preheating your oven to 450 degrees F (232 C). While that is preheating, rinse and dry off all of your sweet potatoes.
Step 2: Cut the potatoes
Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the potatoes, length-wise, into 1/2” strips. You can choose to leave the skin of the potatoes on or off. Leaving them on will provide more flavor plus beneficial nutrients. If you do not care for the skin, then take it off. The choice is always yours. Once you have cut all of them, cut each 1/2” strip down to about 1/4” thickness and 3 inches in length. Each piece should now look like a french fry. Using the same knife, mince your garlic and chop up the parsley (if you haven’t already). You can set these aside for now, they will be needed later.
Step 3: Prepare the fries
The next step is to place all of the fries onto a sheet pan or cookie sheet. Drizzle them with the 2 tablespoons of canna olive oil. Sprinkle the 1/4 tablespoon of sea salt over the fries. Toss the fries to make sure that they are evenly covered. Next, spread the fries out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Step 4: Cook the fries
Place the baking sheet full of fries into your preheated oven. Allow the fries to cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring them around with a spatula about halfway through the cooking process. The sweet potato fries should develop a golden-brown color along the edges.
Step 5: Decorate the fries
Once your fries have finished cooking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. While cooling, grab a large bowl and throw in your garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Mix those three ingredients up inside the bowl. Then, throw your warm sweet potato fries into the bowl and give it a good mix. They are now ready to be served! Put them on a plate and serve immediately.
