This recipe calls for delicious french toast that has been infused with cannabis. Talk about a wake and bake! Not only will you walk away from the table feeling full, but you will also start to slowly feel those effects kick in. What a way to start the day!
Since this is “French” bread, you will need an actual French baguette (of course). You will also need some cannabutter for proper infusion. If you need the recipe for cannabutter, click here!
- 1 French baguette
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of butter
- 3 tablespoons of cannabutter
- 1 cup of milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- Some powdered sugar
Step 1: Mix Butter
Start off by using the regular butter on a baking dish (13×9 inch) to lightly butter it. Use the rest of this butter to combine with the cannabutter in a separate small bowl. Mix them well until fully blended.
Step 2: Slice Baguette
Next, grab your baguette and cut it sideways at an angle into 8 separate pieces. Each slice should be about 2 centimeters thick. Spread the butter mix from Step 1 onto each slice and place the 8 slices onto your baking dish, butter side up.
Step 3: Whisk
Now you need to take the remaining ingredients (besides the powdered sugar) and whisk them altogether in a separate bowl (you can use the small butter bowl if you removed all of the butter first). This mix will include the milk, sugar, salt, eggs, vanilla, and syrup.
Step 4: Refrigerate and Bake
Once mixed well, pour it over the buttered baguette. Now cover the baking dish and set it in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Once that lengthy time has passed, preheat your oven to 350 F (180 C) and remove the dish from your refrigerator. When your oven is heated, place the dish in there (uncovered) and bake for 45 minutes, or until the top of each slice becomes golden brown. After that, sprinkle on some powdered sugar and your “toasted” french toast is ready to enjoy!
