One interesting fact about potatoes is that they can be served for almost any meal at any time of the day. They are also very filling and can be seasoned for perfection. Roasted potatoes are a popular method of enjoying these spuds, and this recipe calls for those yet infused with marijuana!
For this recipe, you can either use ground cannabis bud or cannabis leaves for infusion, the choice is yours. Ground bud may make the end product more potent, yet leaves will also work fine and even gives the leaves a purpose (since they are typically thrown away). If you grow cannabis yourself, using leaves may be a good option here. If so, make sure to chop up the leaves before adding them to this dish.
If desired, you can try out some other types of potatoes for this recipe, but red potatoes seem to work well. You will also need a 9×9 inch baking dish. And, due to the turmeric used, the potatoes will turn yellowish after baking. No need to worry, this is normal.
- 1/4 cup of ground cannabis bud 0r 1/2 cup of cannabis leaves
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 6 red potatoes (medium size)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground sage
Step 1: Prepare
Start off by setting your oven to 425 degrees F (218 C). While it is preheating, grab your baking dish and pour the coconut oil evenly onto it. Place it aside and let the oil set in.
Step 2: Chop
Now grab the potatoes and garlic cloves to chop them up. Chop each potato into four equal pieces, leaving you with 24 evenly cut pieces of potato. For the garlic, simply chop it up regularly. After chopping, add the potatoes and garlic to your baking dish. Mix the chopped pieces in well so that they become coated with coconut oil.
Step 3: Season
Next you will need to set your baking dish aside again and grab a separate small bowl for mixing. Here you will throw in the ground cannabis (or cannabis leaves chopped up), sea salt, black pepper, turmeric, and sage. This mixture will serve as seasoning for the potatoes. You could even make extra of this seasoning, allowing you to infuse another dish (or more potatoes) with cannabis!
Step 4: Bake
Once your infused seasoning has been created, sprinkle half of it from the small bowl onto the potatoes in the baking dish. Then, place the baking dish into your preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Step 5: Season & Bake Again
After those 15 minutes are up, remove the baking dish from the oven and sprinkle in the second half of the infused seasoning onto the potatoes. Bake this for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. After that, your marijuana roasted potatoes are complete!
