How To Make CannaHoney

Whenever you make marijuana edibles, you need at least one ingredient that is infused with marijuana in order to actually work as an edible. Typically, one ingredient is infused with marijuana and all of the other ingredients are normal, non-infused. That one ingredient that is infused is usually butter or cooking oil. In marijuana terms, we call those cannabutter and canna oil. But did you know that there is another ingredient that can be used similarly to those two, but is used in different recipes? That ingredient is honey.

Ingredients

What you will need in order to make cannahoney is:

  • 1 Crock Pot
  • 1 cheesecloth
  • String
  • 1/2 ounce of cannabis
  • 2 pounds of honey

Now, this may seem like a lot of cannabis and/or honey to some, but it makes 40 to 50 servings, which is good when you are using it to cook up some other recipes!

Instructions

Step 1: Bake the honey

First step is to wrap the cannabis in the cheesecloth, and secure the bundle using string. Make sure you tie it good so it doesn’t open up while cooking. Next, put the cheesecloth with the cannabis inside the Crock Pot, and pour honey to cover the cheesecloth. The honey should cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, you will need to stir a few times every hour.

Step 2: Seal the honey

After the honey has been in the crock pot for 4-5 hours, it is now time to take it off the heat and let it sit for 24 hours (No refrigeration needed). After 24 hours has passed, you can remove the bundle of cannabis from the honey. Try to squeeze out as much honey as you can from the cheesecloth, you want to make sure you get to use all of it. The honey that is stuck inside the cheesecloth with the cannabis is definitely the honey you want to use. Mix all of the honey together so that the cannabis potency can equally spread out.

Choose whatever jar or container you want to store the honey in, and take it out whenever you want some cannahoney.

When To Use It

Honey is a very easy ingredient to work with. Put it into your hot teas, oatmeal, yogurts, or cereals for some extra sweetness, or mix it in with dressings or sauces. Cannahoney also works well for baking, homemade skin masks and so much more!

Pretty much any recipe that includes honey can include cannahoney, just replace the regular honey! Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!
