Top 10 Best/Most Balanced Hybrid Strains

In the past, Reefer Post has done a review on various types of marijuana strains. We have even done a post on the Top 10 Best Indica Strains, as well as a post on the Top 10 Best Sativa Strains. Many readers were left wondering “where is the post on the top 10 best hybrid strains?” Well, that post is right here. The list below contains 10 hybrid strains that have a great balance of sativa and indica effects, or are just really good hybrid strains.

Girl Scout Cookies

Girl Scout Cookies (or GSC for short) makes the top of the list since it is Reefer Post’s favorite hybrid strain. This is due to the fact that is has a great balance between indica and sativa effects. GSC is a cross between OG Kush and Durban Poison, which are both highly potent strains. This makes GSC, you guessed it, a very potent strain. This strain gets its name from its sweet scents and flavors. For more details on Girl Scout Cookies, click here.

Godfather OG

Some say that this strain is the most potent strain of marijuana that exists. Others, well, others might not have been awake long enough after smoking some Godfather OG to tell the story. This strain is in fact a hybrid strain, but it has more indica traits than sativa. It’s a cross between three different strains: Grandaddy Purple, Cherry Pie, and OG Kush. Effects can include heavy feelings of relaxation and euphoria, along with sleepiness after awhile.

Trainwreck

If you are searching for a hybrid strain with great medical values, then you might want to try some Trainwreck. This is due to the fact that Trainwreck can help treat a number of issues, including (but not limited to):

  • anxiety
  • arthritis
  • pain
  • migraines
  • ADD/ADHD
  • PTSD

Trainwreck also includes a bunch of recreational values. This strain can give you a feeling of happiness, creativity, and even relaxation.

OG Kush

OG Kush is one of the most popular marijuana strains out there. Even to people who do not smoke or have just started smoking weed, they probably have at least heard of OG Kush. This strain’s effects lean slightly more towards indica traits, but you can still get a good kick of sativa out of it. This strain is also very potent, and can leave its users with a heavy feelings of euphoria. For more details on OG Kush, click here.

AK-47

Since we have listed a few hybrid strains that are indica-dominant, why not show off one that is sativa-dominant? That’s where AK-47 comes in. This strain delivers great sativa effects. But that’s not all. It is a well-balanced strain, and will also give off some indica effects. Words that could describe the high given off by AK-47 might include: mellow, relaxed, social, creative, and relief.

Blue Dream

Attention to all new smokers, this is your strain. If you are new to smoking marijuana, and are looking for a good strain to suit you, then Blue Dream might be that strain. Blue Dream has an excellent balance between indica and sativa effects. Also, it is not extremely potent, so no need to worry about getting too high. Some stoners even fall in love with Blue Dream (figuratively) and use it even when they are more experienced with smoking. For more details on Blue Dream, click here.

Gorilla Glue #4

In my opinion, Gorilla Glue #4 (or GG4 for short) is underrated. This strain is very potent and delivers great effects. In fact, it has the potential for giving off heavy euphoric and relaxing effects. I say “potential” because that means if you smoke enough of it, you might feel “glued” to the couch. Actually, that is partially how GG4 got its name. Its heavy relaxation feeling can leave you feeling stuck (or glued) to wherever you are. Another reason how it got its name is because the name of the company who created GG4 is called GG Strains.

White Widow

White Widow is yet another hybrid strain that is very balanced with its effects. These effects can be similarly compared to OG Kush. White Widow has been around since the 1990’s, and is very popular in Dutch coffee shops. If you do smoke some of this strain, prepare for a high feeling of creativity, since this strain is known to let off someone’s creative side.

Headband OG

So you know about OG Kush, but have you ever heard of the strain called Sour Diesel? Well, Sour Diesel is a very potent sativa strain. It is one of the best sativa strains out there and tends to make the top of lists when judging sativa strains. Now imagine if OG Kush and Sour Diesel were crossbred to make a strain? Actually, that happened! And the result was a strain called Headband OG. With OG Kush’s indica effects and Sour Diesel’s sativa effects, Headband OG delivers strong, but well-balanced, effects.

Cherry Pie

Last, but not least, we have Cherry Pie. Cherry Pie is actually the parent strain of many popular strains, but is not so popular itself. The nugs of Cherry Pie are known to have orange and purple hair-like strands. Its effects are balanced and known to last for hours.
